Harbor CIty Music Company Show Chorus had 111 members in October of 2019 when we competed at Sweet Adelines International (SAI) in New Orleans and were named #4 in the world — out of the field of over 600 SAI choruses! (The #1 chorus had about 140 members and we want to match or exceed the glorious sound they can generate!)
We've been creative in keeping our members connected and in tune (mostly on Zoom). Unfortunately, our membership has still declined over the last two years. And now we're working on recruiting new members (maybe YOU!), helping them learn and perform our repertoire, and having them join us for our Region 19 and International Competitions beginning in 2022.
All of this takes time and funding. As we get closer to Giving Tuesday on November 30 (the new tradition of giving to 501.c.3 charitable organizations on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving), with your support we can help offset initial outlays and ongoing costs for all new members.
